Irie (pronounced ‘eye-ree’) is a Jamaican patois word that means ‘feeling great’, and IRIE TIME’s music has been described as “a blend of reggae, soca and dub grooves that is just about as refreshing as a bottle of Ting grapefruit soda on a sweltering Trenchtown summer day.” [The Houston Press]  The band has been entertaining audiences for more than a decade.

While performing primarily throughout the Texas-Louisiana region, IRIE TIME has traveled as far away as Detroit, Tucson and Miami promoting their releases Stateside, and has performed shows in a number of European cities.  The group is self-contained in terms of sound and lights, and encourages booking offers from most locales.

Tracks from the band’s Island Romance CD were recorded in Kingston, Jamaica and were produced by legendary guitarist Earl ‘Chinna’ Smith of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, and the Wailers band.  A collection of IRIE TIME’s songs entitled Reggae Hits Volume 1, along with two videos, were released nationwide in the country of New Guinea.  Their recent CD, Live Up, was a high-energy, concert album featuring the band performing new songs, as well as songs from their four previous albums.

Their highly-anticipated new CD, In Another Time, has now been completed and features more new songs from the group.  The CD also includes exciting Dub versions on the same disc, as well as a Spanish mix, and is expected to draw widespread attention to the band’s unique combination of reggae, jazz, soca and dub, and herald an international touring schedule in 2015.
